That's exactly the problem: instead of simply reduced sugar, Frey chocolate contains sugar substitutes. This not only adds maltitol, which is questionable from a health point of view, and together with stevia creates a strange taste, it also makes the chocolate as sweet as chocolate that contains 50 or more grams of sugar. Sugar reduction is about getting rid of the high sweetness content that we have been commercially "taught" since childhood. Live for two months without fruit yoghurt, muesli bars, cornflakes, white bread, sweet drinks and sweets in general. After that you will hardly be able to stand the sweetness of a simple fruit yoghurt. The fact is that everything is far too sweet. The manufacturers could easily reduce the sugar content in everything they produce by 30% or more and after a period of getting used to it you wouldn't miss any of it.
