Chocolate range leaves more and more to be desired

Schokolade-Sortiment lässt immer mehr zu wünschen übrig

I like Migros chocolates, VERY much! Recently, however, some very good Migros chocolates have "disappeared" from the range, e.g. Milch extra with hazelnuts and Noxana "Special Edition - Zurich" - my two favorite chocolates! And when I went to buy my "replacement" Duett "Noir - Milch Noisette" last week, it was not available in Wettingen or Glattbrugg. What's going on? Has this product also been removed from the range? The fact that Migros has included so many chocolates in its range that are also available at Coop and Denner is simply incomprehensible to me, because Migros chocolate is much better than that of the other suppliers.

Like you, I think Migros Frey chocolate is the best. But if there are more and more branded products (Lindt, Ragusa, Toblerone etc.) to buy in Migros, then their own chocolate will disappear, unfortunately... I think this has been criticized here in the forum several times; the reason given by Migros was "lack of space, insufficient customer demand"... Branded products just bring Migros more sales and maybe that's how you get people from the Coop/Denner into Migros - that's probably what the Migros product managers think...

...not only that, but rather that Migros doesn't care about us (old things have to go)

Hello Malfrau, thank you very much for your message. I'm delighted that you like the taste of our chocolates. I am all the more sorry that you are missing more and more varieties on our shelves. Adjusting our product range is also a balancing act for us. Ultimately, the relationship between supply and demand determines our selection, even if this can be disappointing. The Duett was reclassified as part of our action planning. However, it is still available in larger stores and therefore also in Glattbrugg and Wettingen. I would be happy to send you the link so that you can check the stock in your area here. Best regards, Tabea

Hi Tabea, thank you very much for your feedback. I understand that adapting product ranges is always a balancing act and that demand is an important factor in product range design. Nevertheless, the range offered by wholesalers is becoming more and more standardized. If they all offer the same thing, I ultimately don't care where I shop. But that will mean the end of customer loyalty. Why should I go to Migros when Coop and Denner are closer? But I want to continue shopping at Migros, precisely because they have the BEST chocolate, for example, the range is varied and special and, in particular, because smaller customer groups are also catered for. So, now I'm going shopping at "Duett"; many thanks for the link. Best regards, painting lady

I've already discussed the "one-size-fits-all" issue here several times, but the people in charge at Migros couldn't care less. Apparently, they are greedy for every hundredth of a percent of sales that they can take away from the competition with branded products. The fact that this could result in loyal Migros customers who have been shopping elsewhere for many years apparently doesn't enter their heads. I used to hoard 8-10 bars of chocolate with every Frey promotion. Today, the minimum purchase required to benefit from the promotion is just two - the other varieties are no longer available. And that's enough for a while, because at home the box is full of good alternative products from the competition, into whose arms Migros has literally driven me with its policy.

If only my PRALINOR doesn't disappear! :)
