M Classic cold cuts are very difficult to open for children and older people. Is it not possible to design a better opening?

This doesn't just apply to M Classic cold cuts. At the beginning of the week, I had a pack of crusty ham: absolutely no chance without a knife, although I am actually in full possession of my strength.
Hello everyone, thank you for your feedback. We regret that the cold cuts packaging does not open well. Packaging must be tightly closed so that the item is well protected. This helps us to avoid any spoilage. However, product safety must not take second place to the desire for an easy-to-open film. During production, we regularly take line samples and check the handling. We always adjust the machine settings to ensure that the packaging opens properly. The specialist department has been informed of your report. We do everything we can to offer our customers flawless products and packaging. Kind regards, Heidi

Unfortunately, that was more like "once through the platitudes and back"... What a pity, you can do better than that? Just this week you were boasting in the Migros magazine about the easy-to-open jam jars. There are also developments in sliced meat packaging with recessed grips that make it easier to grip the stubborn foil. That would be quite a development: all packaging apart from M-Budget could be converted in this way. It's enough if you still have to fiddle yourself silly there and with those unspeakable 4-pack cheese platters if the film cut was very bad again. It feels like this is the case with 50% of the packs...

During production, we regularly take random samples and check the handling. Thanks for the amusement of the day! :-) The fact is: for many years (!), it has been impossible to open packaging without either: - soiling yourself - tearing the packaging so that it cannot be resealed and, ideally, spreading the contents all over the kitchen - injuring yourself If there is one professional group that is characterized by its permanent incompetence, then it is the packaging developers. Then come the forum programmers, who take away practical functions and clarity that have been available for years and then have to beg users for help and ideas (for things that already existed before). But we can fly to Mars. Brave new world.

I've just got a dripping mess on the kitchen table: https://produkte.migros.ch/m-budget-salami-232343082000 Sell by date 7.10.2019, best before 15.10.2019. L 58495455 When this was packaged (too heavily welded), the inspection team was probably on their coffee break...

In my case (see post about it on M-Infoline) it sucks. You can hardly copy the lot number on the underside.

Hello everyone, thank you for your feedback. There are currently no plans to change the packaging. The products are each packaged in a tray with a deep-drawn seal, which is welded with a top web film. In principle, however, a good welded seam ensures product safety - if the seal is too weak, the packs will leak. This would result in oxygen getting into the packaging and the product spoiling prematurely. We do not seal the trays any tighter than is absolutely necessary for product safety. However, it is always a balancing act between optimum packaging for the customer and for the safety of the product. We strive to make the packaging as customer-friendly as possible. The relevant specialist department has been informed about our conversation. Kind regards, Luisa
