Have any of you ever had a bad experience(s) with a Migros sales clerk?
Today: I bought something for CHF 3.90, only had small change, the largest was a 50 centime piece. When I held it out to the sales clerk, she just said: "You normally go to the bank with that." She said it in a very annoyed tone. When she had finally finished counting (she was unusually long), I said a friendly "Adieu." But not a word came back, just a scowl and a receipt.

I only know this behavior from Coop employees in my area ;) In "my" Migros, the staff are basically quite friendly. There are two or three employees who are somehow "strange" towards me. But that doesn't have to mean anything, and I don't take it personally. Coop is definitely a lot worse here.
If it happens more often, you can draw the store manager's attention to it. Or simply avoid the sales clerk.
I think it's okay to pay with coins sometimes. As long as, for example, there are not heaps of 5 or 10 centimes for 10 ;)
If you pay a smaller amount with a larger note, on the other hand, it's a question of whether you have a smaller one...

in "my" Migros there used to be a very unfriendly cashier. I always avoided her, only when I was in a hurry did I go to her (there was rarely a queue at her till...I wonder why?!?).
After accepting x times that she neither greeted me nor said goodbye, I wrote an e-mail to the Infoline. It didn't take long and my phone rang. It was the manager of "my" Migros. He apologized for her behaviour, invited me for a coffee in the Migros restaurant and told me that I wasn't the first customer to complain about her. He told me that she would get her last chance in a conversation that would follow in the afternoon.
A few weeks later, the manager approached me and told me that the cashier had been dismissed and that her behavior was no longer acceptable.
I felt that I was taken seriously as a customer, my request was dealt with and I was informed about the progress. I wasn't expecting the employee to be dismissed, but if I wasn't the only customer to complain then it was certainly justified.
I can say that I am a very friendly and attentive hostess in "my" Migros restaurant. Unfortunately, I have also caught myself not answering very nicely (due to stress and unfortunately also due to a certain "stupidity" of individual customers) my way of apologizing for this was that I personally went to the customer's table and apologized for my "poisonous" answer and I didn't want to deliver it that way. it was well received by the customer and I am now allowed to welcome him every day :) ...
