I recently bought a double pack of spiced bacon (dried meat corner) for my LAG. When he had eaten the first two pieces, something furry appeared underneath: mold. The second pack wasn't affected, but it really spoiled his appetite.
How could this happen?
Has this happened more often or was it an unfortunate isolated incident?

Thank you for your feedback. We are of course sorry that you understandably lost your appetite while eating. It can happen in individual cases that packaging is not completely airtight or is damaged during transportation. This can cause mold to form. If you return the product to the store, we will of course be happy to replace it.

An isolated case? I also saw a furry parcel like this in our Migros - fortunately before I bought it! The butcher to whom I took it for disposal was not at all surprised. It gave the impression that this happens more often.

Well, unfortunately my LAG has already thrown the pack away. So unfortunately I couldn't bring it back.
My purchase was in Zollikofen BE.
