I saw at the competition yesterday before closing time (Migros closes 1 hour earlier...), it gets even worse. The lettuce was soaking wet, it only had nuts for 50% and looked as if it was already "rotting" with dark spots... When I pointed it out at the checkout, well, wash it... Sorry, but I couldn't. And the lettuce had already looked so bad in the Denner before that! So with "only brown at the cut" I would really have jumped for joy yesterday.

The responsible department has been informed of your message and has instructed the store to pay even closer attention to brown leaves during the freshness checks in future. We are constantly working on optimizing our processes so that fresh produce reaches the store quickly and efficiently from the producer. However, to ensure that transportation is also efficient and that we don't generate unnecessary additional traffic, we sometimes deliver all our fruit and vegetables to our stores several times a day.
