By shopping online I accumulate so many bags that are then left unused. Would it be possible to return them to be later reused as is already done for refrigerated food packages?

Paper bags can be returned to the letter carrier with the next order. However, they will not be used for new customer orders (for hygiene reasons). They will be used or disposed of by Migros Online employees.
