Recall ham cubes / MM 32 from 7.8.17

Rückruf Schinkenwürfeli / MM 32 vom 7.8.17

Dear Migros

In Migros magazine no. 32, cooked ham cubes are being recalled - because of possible listeria. The irritating thing for me as a consumer: why are TerraSuisse AND M-Budget products being recalled at the same time? For me, the obvious conclusion here is that either

- the ham cubes come from animals that were in the same barn
- the ham cubes are one and the same product in two packages with two prices

Either way, both would be a rip-off of us consumers! This brings us back to the Coop scandal of a few weeks ago, where Migros denied in this forum that organic animals and "normal" poor pigs were in the same barn. Personally, I value very limited meat consumption - and if I do, then ONLY Swiss meat from organic production. But my trust in production and labeling is becoming increasingly diminished....

Can you explain this simultaneous recall to me - and probably to other consumers?

With kind regards
Marianne Burgener
