With great reservation, because the cooking skills of some people are modest to almost pathetic. Which could lead to people getting on each other's nerves with suggestions for improvement (or sheer know-it-all attitude)...
@with a big caveat: If you could then also rate the recipes, suggestions for improvement would be an enrichment.
I'm a trained confectioner and make delicious fruit tarts, mince pies, Wienerli in batter, mince doughnuts, all with Migros products and they taste really great. You can only learn from others if you want to.

I think your idea is great in principle, I think creative minds like you are great.
I'm also passionate about cooking (and eating, but I'm not overweight, have you noticed what YOU think reader).
Of course I have to agree with the others that tastes are different, but that's where the appeal lies. When I look at other "recipe sites" on the net, I usually find an idea in the comments on how I could design it differently or simplify it.
About the pictures Yes, not everyone is a professional, but preparing "appetizing" dishes is not witchcraft and should be tried by everyone. You can find horrible pictures on the "recipe pages" on the net and tips on how to do it better in the comments.
