I would like to share my experience with the handling of a warranty claim by melectronics/migro customer service.
In January 2017, I purchased an Apple Macbook Pro incl. extended warranty from melectronics. This was returned to melectronics for repair/replacement on 15.09.2017 due to a defective keyboard (space bar defective - known problem with the new Macbooks). After 3 weeks (05.10.2017) I was given an improperly repaired device:
The case was warped/damaged by the repair. There is a gap on the side of the USB-C ports.
I immediately complained about this and demanded a replacement device or a rescission of the purchase contract. I was refused this at the store and the device was sent in again. In the meantime, 6 weeks have passed. The deadline I set of 20.10.2017 to exchange the device for a new one or to cancel the purchase contract has passed without result.
The manufacturer (Apple) also informed me that the device had not been registered with any of its authorized repair services and advised me to contest the purchase contract.
Customer service then told me that other customers would also have to wait.
Has anything similar happened to anyone else?
