I would like to take this opportunity to compliment Migros. I think the idea of taking back different plastic bottles is great. I fill the designated bags and take them with me when I go to Migros to do my shopping. It's great that Migros collects the bottles for recycling on site.
It would be great to see some figures on the reduction in bottles and the new products that are being created.
Now I'm just waiting for the drinks packaging (Tetra Pack) to be taken back.

I have received the following information from our recycling managers:
- In 2013, Migros was able to increase the amount of plastic bottles collected by 9%.
- The collected plastic bottles are now used to make plastic pipes, cable sheathing, etc. The material cycle for this material is not "yet" closed, i.e. new bottles cannot be made from it.
- A closed cycle exists for PET bottles. Aproz, for example, uses 35% recycled material in its new bottles.
I hope these are roughly the figures you have in mind.

I am doing the same.
I too have been waiting a long time for this legendary day. Especially since the iced tea pack has a new closure. It's a total pain to stuff them into the Ghüder bag.
I certainly won't win it, as I now need more bin bags to dispose of the TetraPaks from the iced tea.
It will certainly not be long before it will be possible to return drinks cartons for recycling everywhere. Various pilot projects have been running across the country since 2012 with great success. Depending on the locality, it could be worth making the local authorities aware of this.
