I keep noticing how poor/limited the search function is on Migros Online. In many cases, the products are listed online under different names than in the store or on the packaging. You can usually find the products much more easily via a Google search (product name + Migros). In my opinion, that’s acceptable for an SME website, but for a large corporation with billions in revenue and millions of users, you’d really expect a functional search feature ;)

Are there any plans to improve this?

Example 1: I tasted the cheese "Der Edle Maxx" in the store this week (super delicious, by the way) and wanted to find the product on Migros Online. No luck. Not with “Der Edle Maxx,” nor with “Maxx” or “Edle” or “Edel.” Even though both words appear in the title? I found the product immediately via Google: https://www.migros.ch/en/product/210487406500.

Example 2: Migros Kitchen & Co has a great line of storage containers, all of which feature the "Mix & Match" logo prominently on the packaging. Here, too, I have no luck finding them using "Mix," "Match," or similar terms. Google: instant! A search feature would be especially helpful here so I could easily find all the other compatible sizes, lids, etc. It’s all very cumbersome.

There are many more examples. Time and again, I find that I can find products 10 times faster via Google than through the app or the online search.

Maybe you could have a chat with the software developers at Digitec Galaxus—they know how to build a good search function and proper filters!
