New: Elliptical avatars: They're going to look awful. We can choose which layout we want!
For me it was always a square and not a square and rectangle. There are no other geometric shapes available!
Would suggest: One step back!
I don't want my avatar to be cut up, decapitated or manipulated!
Will set a whitefield!

Now you can take care of the problem with the avatars in the product descriptions, because there you can see a terrible confusion.
On the "old Migipedia" the avatars were defined larger, be it as a square or rectangle. In the new one they are smaller. So for some time now, the "old squares" have been displayed as circles and the "old rectangles" as ellipses. The new ones, whether squares or rectangles, are displayed as part of a truncated circle or amputated ellipse. In other words, they are mutilated. As my images are framed, part of the border is also lost.
As long as this is not canceled and all avatars are displayed in the same size, a white field will appear for "Istanbul, lesmoulins".

We are already in the process of clarifying why the avatar images are now displayed differently.
It doesn't seem to be easy to find out where a change was made that resulted in this effect.
