Customers prefer local products and of course so does Migros. I don't understand why on the one hand everything is done to push customers to prefer local.
I fully understand that certain foods are not in Ticino, but when I look for something produced in Switzerland or Europe I am left with a dry mouth???
Let me explain:
1.
In this period we see an overabundance of vegetables, such as tomatoes, that Ticino farmers have to throw away because they can't sell, Migros Ticino sells CH and not TI tomatoes. Surely customers would be happy to pay for vegetables for less even if not 100% perfect (like shape, size, .... standard), to help local farmers.
2.
**bleep**ioli canned, asparagus canned, budget peeled canned, fresh garlic, perforated pan to make SPÄTZLI (typical CH dish) = MADE IN CHINA
Could you fold me the consistency?

My colleagues have already answered me regarding the topic of domestic tomatoes.
In July we have 22 types of tomatoes in our assortment, including conventional and BIO. Of these only 3 are not from Ticino.
Tomatoes epomodori cherry:the production mandate is regulated nationally and not regionally. The commodity is of Swiss origin.
Selection Marsanino: no production in Ticino, the quantity purchased from Migros Ticino is not sufficient to start production locally. However, the commodity is of Swiss origin.
We support and employ local producers, but we also have a responsibility internationally, making market access possible for producers in developing countries. Of paramount importance is that the origin is clearly stated on Migros products so that every customer has the freedom to choose whether or not to buy them.
