i was in 3 migros branches in berne today and in none of them was it possible to pay by postcard, ec direct, master, maestro or visa!
does anyone know more?

According to TOP ONLINE, card payments have failed throughout the entire Eastern Switzerland cooperative today.
But apparently it didn't just affect this area, but - as you write - also Bern and thus the Aare cooperative.
And possibly not just these two... Perhaps there will be more information on this from Migros.

And I'm curious to see what the situation will look like in a few years' time, when there will probably only be a few checkouts left in the large stores and the so-called self-checkout will be used (which I find very practical apart from that). In the event of such a breakdown, nothing will work at all. This shows us once again how dependent we are on data systems.
