Why are there plastic spouts on milk and cold tea cartons?
Pourquoi des "becs verseurs" (en plastique) sur les briques de lait ou de thé froid ?
For years, we had the choice of several "techniques" for opening bricks of cold tea, milk, creams, etc. ...
- Cut a top corner with scissors
(with a larger or smaller hole, depending on whether we wanted to avoid odor transmission ... in both directions!)
- and, with the same scissors, cut a small hole - on the top of the brick - to let air in ... and avoid splashing.
- We could even fold the wedge against the top, to close the brick quite effectively...
And now ... certainly an expensive "improvement" - even by a few cents ... it's useless!
These spouts are not at all easy to open!
You dip your finger into the liquid ... a question of hygiene ... ?
And, often, they don't close properly ... or go inside!
Milk and cream leave a few drops, which dry out ...
.
Give us back our Briques of yesteryear! so simple!
