Plastic bags

Hello:)
I think it's great that it's now normal in Switzerland to no longer offer free plastic bags at the checkout. Nevertheless, I think we could go one step further: Ban all free plastic bags from the supermarket.
This may seem radical at first, but it makes perfect sense. Most fruit and vegetables are already packaged anyway (in plastic or protected by the fruit skin). There are now also plenty of alternatives to plastic bags (cloth bags). For those who want to separate frozen goods from other foods, simply buy a bag themselves (5 centimes is nothing!) or take it by the nose and pack bags for shopping at home. That's why the additional service of free plastic bags seems unnecessary to me. Migros could take a big step towards a more sustainable future with this measure and would be a role model for many other retailers. The changeover for consumers is certainly just a matter of habit and will become a matter of course after a while.
