I would be happy to explain a few points on this topic.
Plastic has good packing properties. It is easy to process and offers high tear resistance. The amount of material used for plastic packaging is correspondingly low. The eco-balance of glass or cardboard packaging is therefore often worse in comparison. Cardboard and paper are not generally more ecological than plastic. Switching from a cardboard box to a plastic bag, for example, saves 75 percent packaging material. For example, plastic bags in open sales have a significantly lower impact on the environment than material-intensive paper bags.
