Since mid-2020, I've been waiting for the collection points to be introduced. Am I the only one who wishes there was a newsletter here? I would easily register for it with my e-mail, so win-win for Migros.
Apparently it has been postponed: https://www.migros.ch/de/unternehmen/medien/mitteilungen/show/news/medienmitteilungen/2020/plastikrecycling-verschiebung-zentralschweiz.html It's quite possible that it may have been completely scrapped/abandoned in the meantime... Unfortunately I don't know the latest status, but perhaps the M-Infoline can help.

Hello Is there no collection point in your municipality? We also waited and hoped for MIGROS, but you can't rely on them. They announced the project in a big way via the media and nothing has happened. A lot of chatter without content, but unfortunately MIGROS is still blblblblblb on other issues and no result.

There are other options in our municipality, but it's just not as practical because it's far out of town and I don't have my own car (you also need a membership card at the recycling center...). I'll probably switch back to one of those recycling subscriptions after all, it's just a lot more expensive. It's a shame that it's not communicated more transparently, the landing page is at the top of Google. No dates, no information on where there will be updates. It's understandable that plans are being postponed due to the current world situation, but it's understandable that they're not being transparent... But thanks for your answers, I can finally get rid of the bags in the cellar...

I hope the promise of postponement remains and is not canceled. But I do have an addition or an idea on this topic. I am happy about all packaging that is produced or implemented more sustainably. Then there is definitely still plastic packaging that has to remain in plastic form for some reason. Couldn't you simply shred this selection instead of disposing of it in its bulky basic form or recycling it? That would also be interesting for Migros to transport the waste as granulate instead of in bulky plastic bags. Migros could install such shredders from a certain store size so that we as customers could have the plastic cups, plastic packaging etc. shredded on site. What do you mean, Migros?

Hi @infoMigros Thanks for your message. That is an interesting idea. We are aware that start-ups are already working on such packaging shredders. It will be difficult to implement in the medium term, as current sorting technologies are geared towards larger pieces of plastic. But who knows - in the longer term it might be possible.
