Sometimes I don't have the vegetable/fruit nets with me, but I still need loose produce. Then I'm almost forced to use a plastic bag because I can't buy a new set of nets every time. And I really dislike that. In other stores, brown paper bags are still available. Wouldn't this also be possible at Migros, please?

In order to evaluate the most environmentally friendly packaging, we calculate life cycle assessments for various packaging solutions. Among other things, we compared paper and plastic bags in a life cycle assessment study. The results of this comparison are clearly in favor of plastic bags. The main reason for this is the amount of material required per bag. In order to achieve an acceptable tear resistance, paper bags require much more material than plastic bags.
