While shopping in Migros yesterday, I saw a large rack prominently filled with chocolate Easter bunnies. The carnival isn't even over yet and luckily there are still the free carnival cakes in the range. But chocolate Easter bunnies now? Do they have to be? I think it's totally inappropriate, because it's far too early!

Like every year, Easter cookies with numerous red 50% stickers in the stores last week. However - as I have been assured here before - this has nothing to do with the fact that these items are not even in demand this early...

Well, it's just like always. The Christmas stuff hits the stores in September/October, the Easter stuff now. So that you're really fed up when it's all over.
I had a quick look: Easter Sunday falls on April 1st this year.

Just ask the marketing department or the sales analysts, the logistics department or the mega-data evaluators. It would be interesting to find out exactly why this is done - worldwide, by the way, not just in Migros.

Hello @Loxiran. We want to give our customers time to get in the mood for spring and Easter. This includes Easter decorations, flowers, egg coloring, Easter chocolate and recipes. For many customers, Easter can't start soon enough, while others don't want to get involved until shortly before Easter. So it is important for us to start early enough to take into account the different wishes for a spring-like and festive Easter season in this context. Best regards Elias Imhof
