Please put mild olive oil back in the range!

Olivenöl Mild bitte wieder ins Sortiment nehmen!

Is anyone else missing the mild olive oil from M-Classic? My bottle is almost empty, I wanted to buy more and was horrified to discover that Migros only sells extra virgin olive oil. I also have this, but only for salads, as extra virgin should NOT be used for frying above 160° (approximate smoke point, this is higher with refined oil). I also only use the mild oil for my homemade mayo, as the extra virgin has a bitter taste; sunflower oil/rapeseed oil is out of the question due to an intolerance. This second aspect is actually the most important for me, I can also use coconut oil or ghee for frying, but for the mayo it really has to be the mild olive oil, otherwise it is inedible.

Therefore - please bring back the mild olive oil, because I trust Migros to offer excellent quality even with the "cheap model", as a Migros child I am rather skeptical about other suppliers. As my father makes his own olive oil (but super duper extra virgin cold-pressed), I know how much mischief is being done and I don't just eat any oil.

Hello sierrafox

Sorry, I use rapeseed oil. It's the first time I've heard of such an intolerance. It's certainly not easy when shopping.

Hello@sierrafox

This olive oil from M-Classic no longer exists. It consisted of 80% refined oil and only 20% extra virgin, and we at Migros have decided to sell only the highest quality class of olive oil in future.

There are various other alternatives for sautéing in the range. For example, there are mild variants of extra virgin olive oil under the Monini and Alexis brands.Monini Delicato(1033.320) and Alexis Megaritiki (1033.360) are characterized by a mild and fruity aroma.

Perhaps one of the two olive oils is a variant for you?

Best regards
