Every year after Christmas, the animal inhabitants of Tierpark Berlin enjoy the unsold Christmas trees from local traders. These are completely eaten by a wide variety of species as a welcome change.
Hello Powdergun, thank you very much for your contribution. As a rule, there are not many trees left over, as the sales figures are always roughly the same. What is left over goes to the zoo/animal park depending on demand and is fed. The rest is taken back by the operations centers, chopped up and processed into biogas or composted. Kind regards, Luisa
