I suggest you get the people in charge together for a day of opening packaging, that should be beneficial. Why on earth do we constantly have to redesign packaging that has worked quite well in the past? Take Cornatur products, for example: Previously light, thin and easy to open (one corner was unsealed, easy to pack and therefore peel off the foil). Now clunky (takes up more space on the shelf and in the customer's fridge and causes more waste), heavier, and can only be opened with a knife or scissors.
As has been written before: If you don't make it as an engineer, you end up in the packaging industry. What these sadists constantly unleash on their customers is unbearable. I only know of one really laudable exception in recent years, and that is the new, easy-to-open lids on jars of jam and pickles. Only the stars know why these have not yet become standard...
