Hello Migipedia community, I wanted to ask if you really offer insects in Migros?
If so, can I also look in the Wynecenter, or is this another Zurich project?
If I could also get them in Buchs Wynecenter, in which department should I look?

According to a press release, Migros has actually been selling insects in dried form under the "Mi Bugs" brand in 180 stores (all major supermarkets) and at Le Shop throughout Switzerland since October 16, 2018: Mealworms, crickets and grasshoppers.

Thank you @AlMiDeCoLi
I also saw this on Tele M1. They didn't say anything about Switzerland-wide, only that the offer exists in Migros, then this would be clarified.
Do they stand by the salad or the ready meals? I would still be interested.

Here again I see a product that is currently not in demand, but for both retailers "who is faster, better" is more important...
As if the typical Migros customer had been waiting for such a product. What's more, a good product will surely be thrown out for something like this...
@EEnergy
When it comes to the battle of the two orange giants, Coop has won the jungle camp battle: The range there is a little longer and a little bigger.
I was waiting for that @EEnergy. In any case, I don't think that moldy cheese will fly, which I personally find superfluous. Seriously, everything that is new is rejected. It was the same with cell phones and the Internet. Give the insects a chance. Before you say NO. It may be that COOP had it first, but it's not in my way?
No, I don't give the product a chance.
Maybe in a few years it will be the meat substitute. But it's not there yet and that's why I'm keeping my hands off it.
I don't see the point of introducing such a product (it will have a hype at the beginning, then sales will plummet). We are often referred to Migros' favorite saying: "Space is tight on the shelves and we can't introduce this or that product. However, a place will probably still be found for this product.
For me, that's taking the piss out of customers. And being more of a hipster than a true retailer.
Just listing more protein products (and hoping everywhere that the hipster Instagram I go to the gym several times people, but today I eat Skyr because it's trendy and hipster people buy it) is also wrong for me!
A bodybuilder looks at all the micronutrients rather than just the hipster product Skyr. That's why he's more likely to buy low-fat quark, for example (from Coop, because it's lower in carbohydrates).
Although sales will be MINIM in a few weeks, Migros will not discontinue this product. Otherwise it would look like a loser. But it will drop Leger products or other products that are in demand more quickly than this currently unnecessary product.
@Bodenseeknusperli
Thanks for your support. According to my sources it "could" be in the Vegan Corners ready made menu . I will buy hay when I get it at the Wynecenter and write you a PN. Instead of salty nuts in front of the TV ?

Hello dear beetle lovers and scorners! Or are we all bug lovers; those who want to eat them and those who don't? Hmm...
Instead of philosophizing, here are a few answers for you:
@Mystery1978: the insects should be available at the Wynecenter (Buchs). If there are none, then they are sold out! That's it ;)
Here you can see the 3 Mi Bugs products:https://produkte.migros.ch/sortiment?q=mi+bugs if you then click on a product, you can enter your zip code on the right or the name of the store and see whether this and other stores stock the product. However, the information does not reflect the current status in the store, hence my insertion that it may be that something is no longer in stock when you are in the store.
@Bodenseeknusperli: there are only 3 varieties of the Mi Bugs. Just so there's no disappointment ;)
Oh yes, and according to the photo from a store where they were practically sold out, they are in the...now I can't think of the correct term at the moment... I'll say among the more exotic products from the Asian region, nestled between hot sauce, sweet n' sour, Thai assortment, chop stick items... Hope you find it easy.
And let us know how you liked it!
Best regards, Nina
Dear Migipedia community, here is my feedback:
1st place: Crickets, taste like raw popcorn, so if they were salted they would surely be for sale in movie theaters ???
2nd place: mealworms, they are like rice cakes
3rd place: Grasshoppers, indefinable taste. Be sure to take off the wings, if you get them wrong, you have a problem.
If you chop the grasshoppers into about 4 pieces, the cats will eat them like cat treats.
(But they also eat crickets and mealworms).
