What do the "natural" flavors in Migros syrups, for example, actually consist of? And above all: how digestible are they? Have they been tested for compatibility or are the quantities so small that they slip under the radar of food inspection? What is crystal clear, however, is that there are no strawberry flavors - extracted from strawberries - in the syrup, otherwise Migros would not miss the opportunity to write 'with natural strawberry flavor' on the label. And there are hardly so many strawberries that everything that tastes of strawberries is also flavoured with strawberries. There used to be a rumour that strawberry flavouring was made from sawdust. You can find contradictory information about this on the Internet. It's simply not a good idea to think of genetically modified organisms - or even sawdust - when drinking or eating.
