Why is organic milk now sold in Tetrapaks? The previous plastic bottles were at least sortable and recyclable, but Tetrapaks are virtually non-recyclable. What's more, the Tetrapaks fill the bin liners, while the plastic bottles were taken back by Migros?
Hello Tulipanin, we have switched to "Tetra Edge" (Tetra Pak) packaging. The environmental impact of the beverage carton and the PE bottle (plastic bottle) are comparable, there is no significant difference. Tetra Paks currently have to be disposed of with normal household waste, as we do not yet have a recycling system for them. However, some local collection points do take back such packaging. Nevertheless, we have reconsidered this decision due to the numerous customer feedbacks and we have good news for you! You will soon be able to find the old plastic bottles on our shelves again. "... we have reconsidered this decision based on the numerous customer feedbacks..." "Customer feedback" is more likely to have been voting with your feet. For example, I haven't bought a single milk from Migros since the changeover. That's the only way the business administration guys learn.
