MSC label and general sustainability of the fish

MSC-Label und generell Nachhaltigkeit des Fisches

Dear Migros, in view of the current controversy raised by the documentary "Seaspiracy", a new discussion should be opened. Migros has been calling for sustainability for younger generations for years - I'll leave it at that for now that this is guaranteed for fruit and vegetables, and possibly also for meat. But as far as the fish range is concerned - especially the pre-packed salmon or tinned tuna - your approach is disappointing. Even if the MSC label is on it, in many cases this does not guarantee true sustainability. The MSC label earns 80% on every product that they can put the sticker on - who goes and fact checks the fishery? Anyone who has seen the documentary and has been following the fishing scandals for a while should be aware that these organizations that are supposed to help our oceans are not always as clean as we would like to believe. This is only a fraction of the problems that are re-emerging, but you can't turn everything around at once. But I appeal to Migros' conscience: Dear Migros, please keep your sustainability promises in the seafood sector too. The oceans are also important for future generations. Please.
