Mozart as the "Mizart" of Migrosbell?
Mozart composed 41 symphonies, 27 piano concertos, over 20 stage works... Now, how do you honor such an achievement? One possibility is the confectionery, or in Mozart's case, the praline. Someone had the idea (Paul Fürst, 1890), others copied it, and 124 years later the Mozartkugel was a worldwide export hit, mainly for the Austrians. And as countless legal proceedings later made clear: countless different companies have adopted the sweet memory of the great composer (Reber, Mirabell, Steiner, Schatz, Schmidt, Hofbauer... etc.)
Migros also has a variant on its confectionery shelves: the "Reber" ball(http://www.migipedia.ch/de/lebensmittel/suesswaren/pralines/mozart-kugeln/160g1). It is not produced in quite as large quantities as the "market-leading" Mirabell Mozartkugel, but they both taste good. The only difference is that 8 Reber Mozartkugels cost 7.60 francs. That's not exactly cheap, especially compared to the Mirabell varieties... they should actually be cheaper. The only thing is: I haven't found them anywhere in Switzerland. I seem to remember that Migros once had the Mirabell ball in its range, perhaps only in the last Mozart anniversary year (2006)? But at some point the product was discontinued.
My suggestion: Why not make 2015 another anniversary year? 125 years of the Mozartkugel. Then there would be another reason to offer affordable Mozart memories. Or Migros could make its own Mozartkugel variant... and then call it "Mizart" or "Migart-Kugel" or something...
