A few days ago, I was once again able to observe a Swiss housewife searching in vain for poppy seeds in the Migros store and asking for them. Fortunately, the Migros saleswoman knew how to describe the poppy seeds - "small black balls, like quinoa" (the customer admitted that she didn't know what they looked like;-). Please, dear Migros, include poppy seeds and ground and ground poppy seeds in 500 g packs in your range, as is the case in every discounter in Germany and Austria. This would help to ensure that the Swiss also know what poppy seeds look like, that they are not smoked but can be used as food. One very cool product is de-oiled poppy seed flour, which is left over from poppy seed oil production.
