Migros Altstetten Neumarkt branch.
I have now asked the head of the vegetable department several times whether I could buy the pumpkin with a rotten spot (small stain), the Formosa papaya with a little mold (this can be easily removed from papayas), etc. at a reduced price.
What is possible in other Migros stores without any problems is denied in Neumarkt - the product in question was taken from my hand with the remark that it would now be thrown away - they don't do that with the reduction.
I wonder how far this is in line with Migros' "sustainability promises", which are always so widely advertised, and also how economical this is: better to throw it away than still get half the retail price?
I don't get it...
