A mini "Subito" scanner for the little ones, which has to be handed back to the checkout after shopping so that shopping with the scanner does not become a test of nerves because the children want to scan like mom and dad.
The mini "Subito" scanner could be secured to the adults' shopping cart by the child seat and to the children's shopping cart with a chain.

Thank you very much for your suggestion. You're right, the little ones always want to do what mom and dad show them (who could blame them?). :-) That's a great idea, I'll definitely pass it on to the relevant department.

Why not give the little ones a favorite toy that you brought from home, or a carrot to chew on, etc.?
...and lose your favorite toy or have endless discussions in the checkout area because the same item is also being sold in the store?
I also think that you should only consume the food or drinks once you have paid for them at the checkout (otherwise this would even constitute theft under criminal law).

That's right, the law has long since done away with what is known as "theft by mouth". It should actually be a matter of course, the articles first pay, then eat.
The you tube video is good. It's just a shame that there weren't two cartons of milk in the cart. ?
Not sure if the video is real. I've heard the story in different versions for years and think it's more of an "urban legend". I liked the story with honey instead of milk best :-)
