Migros is launching a new pilot project with immediate effect. In six selected Migros stores in German-speaking Switzerland, so-called food boxes with weekly changing contents can be purchased.

Each box contains all the ingredients for a special Migusto dish for two people and costs between 22.50 and 33.00 francs. The pilot lasts for twelve weeks.

The test stores are located in Buchs AG, Bern railroad station, Zurich (Migros City), Uster, Wil and Steinhausen (Zugerland).

Lidl Switzerland also wants to get involved: "We are venturing into a new business area. And not just as a test, we are taking this step with full conviction," says Lidl spokeswoman Corina Milz. The cooking ingredients are ordered online and delivered by post. https://www.lidl-menubox.ch

The cooking ingredients are cheaper at Lidl and are delivered to your home free of charge.

Small suppliers started the trend. These include the Swiss providers HelloFresh, Juts.ch and Kochmal.ch. https://www.blick.ch/news/wirtschaft/starkoch-rene-schudel-kreiert-die-rezepte-lidl-liefert-jetzt-kochboxen-nach-hause-und-ins-buero-id7228783.html

Once the test phase is complete, Migros will use the experience gained and the customer survey to determine whether the food boxes will become a permanent feature of the range.
