I think the Migusto magazine is really great, I love the recipes.
But what really bothers me is that it is shrink-wrapped in plastic. Is this really necessary?

I think it's a shame that this magazine is sent to you and that you can no longer buy it at Migros. The magazines are still available at Migros - and they are even unsealed. Besides, I'm not interested in every issue, or these issues would still be available online.
You can stop the Migusto magazine from being sent to you. I have done this. Unfortunately, you can't switch this on and off yourself in your Cumulus account or in the Migros log-in. But an e-mail to cumulus@migros.ch (Cumulus Infoline) is sufficient.
However, there is something to bear in mind: Although the Migusto booklet is available in Migros branches, the Cumulus voucher for the free subscription is no longer available since the automatic delivery. This means that even Migusto members have to pay 3 francs when buying the magazine in the store.
And as to the question of why it is sent wrapped in foil: I assume it has to do with the additional envelope on which the address is printed and the Migusto vouchers are included. This is not stapled to the booklet.
I suspect that the postal delivery of the Migusto magazine was introduced because the Cumulus voucher was not used enough by members and the magazine was left lying around in the branches.

I was extremely concerned when I read that a Swiss person produces 700 kg of waste per year. Hence this question.
Thank you for all your answers. It doesn't make sense to me that it has to be shrink-wrapped from the post office. The Migros magazine also comes unsealed. It would also be easy to find another alternative for the Cumulus vouchers....
