I've thought about it several times but never told the people responsible: The Migros magazine is great!
I really enjoy reading the magazine and always look forward to Monday evening when I come home after a hard day's work and find the latest issue in my letterbox.
The magazine is very varied, informative and Migros takes care (unlike Coop - Coopzeitung) not just to mention in the magazine how oh so great they are and what they do. No, Migros is self-confident enough and provides information about its own services and commitments, but there is also room for many other topics - including those that have nothing to do with Migros & Co. at all (keyword: reports). Incidentally, this section should be expanded.
A few more inputs/ideas: every week a city in Switzerland is presented, 1 page with knowledge (à la Wikipedia where there are various knowledge topics per day), 1 page with tips for excursions in the coming week throughout Switzerland (markets, special Swiss events, etc.), 1 page with cultural topics.
However, I really like the format (bound) of the new Coop newspaper from its competitor (Coop). Perhaps Migros could adopt this or even improve it.

Yes, I think Migrosmagazine is great too! Similar to what you describe, I think Migrosmagazin has a healthy balance between self-promotion and a broader horizon for important (social) topics. The competitor's newspaper primarily offers advertising! I also like your ideas for new sections on the "city page", excursions and cultural events.
In my opinion, it's ok if the magazine is not bound. The new "binding format" of the Coopzeitung doesn't just have advantages!

So the issue is great because the newspaper is stapled! I'd like to see the same for Migrosmagazin.
Otherwise I think Migrosmagazin is much better than the Coopzeitung, because it clearly has too much advertising and often you can hardly tell whether it's advertising or an article.
So staple the Migrosmagazin and you're top!
