The scanner in my app has not been working for some time. The products are no longer recognized, but the scanner always searches past the barcode. This happens to me with both the iPhone and the iPad. Or am I doing something wrong?
It works with my Samsung. Drink some target water so that the camera catches the barcode; this works well for me.

Focus the rectangle over the barcode; then the scanner zooms in and that's it. Tried it with the iPad and iPod Touch - no problem. Even scanned a product where the hand scanner in the store went on strike, which I handed to the staff at the payment station, who then scanned it! This happens with promotions that have a shiny band on them!
Thank you Silvia and Istanbul! I tried another product that I already had on my shopping list. It worked with that. Apparently it's simply because many products are not yet available. It always says: Product not recognized. So I have to assume that I still can't scan all the products I bought at Migros?

I have now received an answer from the people responsible and it is indeed the case that the scan function is not working properly. In particular, switching the "scan area" does not always work 100%. Development is currently working at full speed to rectify the problem. And it is also true that some products are still missing from the database and cannot be scanned.
