What has been striking lately: The Coop newspaper is becoming a telephone book format. With each week weekly offers on art print paper of heavy quality. Mostly 2 to 5 inserts catalogs. Is this the Coop's way of protecting the environment or attention at any price? The weekly offers in the Migros newspaper are printed on thin paper and the newspaper has recently become rather thinner. Is this intentional?

Hi @Fotopitsch Paper is currently in extremely short supply on the global market. The pandemic has driven up demand for packaging materials and, as a result, for waste paper as a raw material. As a result, paper manufacturers are unable to supply the required quantities, and Migros Magazine is also affected. We have therefore been producing slightly thinner volumes since issue 24. It is still difficult to estimate how long the situation will last, but it will certainly be several weeks. For these reasons, Migros Magazine is currently a little slimmer and the editorial section is somewhat smaller than usual. Best regards, Sebastian

This is precisely why I have been unsubscribing from the COOP newspaper for some time now. I was no longer prepared to dispose of kilos of advertising. There was hardly anything interesting to read anymore. But I still subscribed to the Migros magazine. Mainly because of the puzzles and the column by the mother with her two boys. It's always so heartfelt and refreshingly written. My compliments at this point! By the way, I miss Bänz very much....
