The Migros store in Westside opens at 09.00 on Mondays. It is often extremely messy there then. The store is NOT ready for customers and there are also dangerous tripping hazards from empties, rolling pallets, etc. We reported this months ago - in writing, followed by a telephone reply. Today it was REALLY BAD. Hardly any getting through in the vegetables, empties everywhere, grids across the floor. A verbal intervention with the management resulted in the sobering conclusion that you shouldn't always complain about the same thing.

It's great when a company wants feedback - Migros does. But as a customer, I ask myself what the point is if nothing happens. We know Migros all over the city of Berne and it's not like that anywhere else. Migros Westside has Aldi conditions at Migros prices. Migros Westside is often not ready for customers on Mondays, and not always on other days either. Is there really no solution? What if the store only opened at 10 a.m.? Could it work then?

The always friendly staff take my time. But I have NO sympathy for the management. We'll probably avoid Mondays now: The Migros Bethlehem is ready for us (and this already at 08.00!!!) and the Coop is not far either, they open at 07.00 and are also ready.

If a repeated complaint on the same subject doesn't help (and isn't wanted), then strictly speaking the first complaint won't help either...

On a Monday, you should also understand the situation. In Switzerland we have a driving ban for trucks over 3.5 tons on Sundays and public holidays as well as a ban on night driving between 22:00 and 05:00. This means that the fruit and vegetables can only be on the road and delivered from then on.
I can't comment on this as I don't know the circumstances and I never shop that early or on Mondays.
If it doesn't bother you that the store doesn't open until 10 a.m., I ask myself: "Why don't you go shopping an hour later?" ?

Thanks for the tip, but of course we immediately approached the manager yesterday and asked her to take a look at your store with customer eyes... It also had dangerous tripping hazards. The manager is also aware of this... It's just that nothing changes...

Thanks for your reply and your tips. I understand your point of view, but I can't do my shopping later because I have to work afterwards. I'm the type of person who doesn't just "put my foot down" and leave my favorite Migros. The "being ready" thing used to work really well at Westside, even on Mondays! And when I say "used to", that was about a year ago and the years before that... I want to shop there because of the range and the "subito" that other stores in Bern Bethlehem unfortunately don't (yet) have.

And no, I don't understand, because it used to be possible, the other Migros branches can still do it today and even an hour earlier - Coop does it from 7.00 am!

I want my feedback to be dealt with professionally by Migros. My feedback is open, honest, true and nice - it came in writing and was also given verbally to the management yesterday - the shortcomings have also been recognized by the management and a solution should be found.

Your tip to store elsewhere would be the last option, but hardly in the interests of Migros. Hope dies last: I want to shop at Migros Westside and be welcome as a customer. That's not a particularly demanding wish during opening hours and shouldn't be an insurmountable problem ;-)
