I was in the Migros restaurant in Brugg yesterday. I noticed that the so-called Smothis fruit juice drinks are offered for sale in open glasses. My question is why are the filled glasses not covered, not even under a cover? If the glasses are "temporarily stored" uncovered for several hours, a lot of bacteria or foreign substances accumulate. The jars could be covered with a thin stretch film to ensure hygiene.

At the bakery, the baked goods lie around without a cover - all day long! Bacteria don't just get there. Or not more bacteria, which is normal and in the air anyway. Personally, I think it's good if not everything is shrink-wrapped in plastic, it saves plastic and the smoothies can breathe. :)

I have since received feedback from the people responsible. It is not necessary to cover the individual cups for various reasons:
Firstly, the cups are in an ice bed, so they are always optimally chilled. Secondly, the fruit juices are usually only there for a very short time: consumption is relatively high, so they are refilled regularly.

It may well be that forum moderators are expected to make higher demands in terms of spelling. Nevertheless, I find it remarkable that when Tanja makes a mistake, this must be immediately criticized. Here, as in other forums, you come across spelling mistakes at every turn that make your hair stand on end. In this thread alone, I have discovered no fewer than 13 errors (counted very carefully), 6 of which are punctuation errors and 7 are case and other errors...
