Hello everyone
I finally have some feedback on your request:
Migros Plus cleaning and laundry detergents are highly biodegradable and are made from natural, renewable raw materials. As a matter of principle, we refrain from using raw materials of animal origin and concentrate on plant-based, renewable raw materials.
Vegan raw materials must be consistently certified - by suppliers and all sub-suppliers. The certification confirms that there has been no contact with animal substances throughout the entire manufacturing process. Only then can the end product be labeled as vegan. This requirement is very demanding, expensive and not traceable or documented by the supplier in every individual case. We assume that the vast majority of our plant-based raw materials meet this criterion, but we cannot guarantee it conclusively and we also refrain from certification for cost reasons. We therefore do not claim "vegan", even if the product could be described as vegan.
The following M-Plus product groups are free from animal ingredients:
- Powder detergent
- Hand dishwashing detergent
- Automatic dishwashing detergent
- Most detergents
The following M-Plus product groups may contain traces of animal ingredients:
- Liquid detergents
- All-purpose cleaners and soft soap
I hope you can understand this.
Kind regards
Tanja

Hello
Practically all cleaning agents are tested on animals to determine their compatibility. Even the latest materials and substances benefit from the knowledge gained from the developments of their predecessors, which were tested on laboratory animals. Therefore, the label "animal-free" is never the truth. Of course, this also applies to packaging, printing inks, label adhesives, etc.
A pure vegan life is IMPOSSIBLE anyway!
- Every electronic device on earth contains copper compounds made with bone glue from slaughterhouse waste. But which vegan does without a cell phone, laptop, internet, oven, washing machine, etc.?
- Every hospital, every doctor's surgery needs the blood thinner heparin, which is obtained from the intestinal mucus of pigs. Which Verganer refuses medication and prefers to die instead?
- Shoes, belts, gloves, suitcases etc. are often made of leather. Are there any vegans who do not benefit from this in any way?
- Biofuel contains animal fats. Which vegan can guarantee that the products they want have not been transported using biofuels?
- Even a receipt printed on the latest BPA-free thermal printing paper benefited from animal testing during its development.
- Which vegan completely does without soap and shampoo?
- A lot of agricultural products are declared, but hardly anyone is interested in whether animal fertilizer was used in the fields.
Veganism is and remains an affectation and therefore cannot be taken seriously.
Greetings from the Migi piglet
Dear Migi-Ferkel, first of all: I am not a vegan, "only" a vegetarian. Your comments are certainly correct, but I still think it's wrong to call veganism an affectation. After all, vegans make an effort to avoid animal products as much as possible and encourage others to do the same. Every beginning is difficult - but nothing works without a beginning! Let's respect this "pioneering work". Best regards, Suuschen

Hello everyone
As a Migros industrial company, Mifa AG has never carried out animal testing on detergents and cleaning agents or their raw materials since it was founded. If necessary, after the toxicology of the raw materials has been clarified, these products are tested for their effect and safety in dermatological tests on healthy humans.
Legal regulations
New innovative raw materials are constantly needed in product development in order to guarantee the possibly changing or increasing functionality of the products. Due to public opinion or newly recognized health risks, even some of the tried and tested raw materials can no longer be used today. Chemicals legislation requires manufacturers of these raw materials to clarify their risks to human health before they can be used in end products. If no scientifically recognized alternative laboratory methods (in vitro) exist, a limited number of animal tests can be carried out for this purpose. However, these are in no way used to prove the performance of the detergents and cleaning agents!
Mifa AG supports the idea of avoiding animal testing of raw materials wherever possible. However, it is a fact that numerous tried and tested raw materials, which may also be used by Mifa AG, have been tested on animals at some point. Some are even being re-evaluated by official order.
Kind regards
Tanja

After all! Migros should consistently avoid using ingredients that are cruel to animals in its products. But if you want to make such products from such questionable raw materials, then that's the way it is with animal testing.
