The recycling collection points in the large MIGROS stores are practical. The only thing missing is a slot for the aluminum beverage cans bought at MIGROS. I always have to go to the municipal collection point, which is tedious and not ecological. And although drinking RedBull from an aluminum can is supposed to give me wings, I can't fly to the community collection point.
So dear MIGROS, please make an aluminum collection point at the recycling stations in MIGROS. Thank you.

That's right - and Migros also doesn't take back empty Tetra packs. I always have to hand them in at Aldi, even though I'm hardly ever a customer there.

Hello everyone, tetra and alu would be really great. For example, there are PET tubs next to the crockery trolley, although PET can also be disposed of 1 floor up at Migros. Maybe there could be a depot for cans and PET then it wouldn't be lying around everywhere. But that would be a different topic

"We are delighted that you are looking closely at the issue of recycling. As Migros, we are striving to continuously increase the proportion of waste that is recycled.
However, it is generally not possible for Migros to organize a separate collection for all packaging and products, as the space available in our reverse logistics is also limited. In addition to customer waste, internal waste such as cardboard for transport packaging, organic waste, etc. must also be transported back and handed over for recycling. In addition, around 7 million reusable containers are in use, which also have to be transported back to the right place after delivery to the store. This results in annual savings of around 60,000 tons of cardboard. As the capacity in returns logistics is limited due to the aspects described above, Migros cannot provide separate collection for all packaging. Like glass, aluminum cans are collected by the municipalities.
Nevertheless, Migros is committed to collecting aluminum:
Since May 2007, the Federation of Migros Cooperatives has been a voting member of the Igora cooperative for aluminum recycling and is therefore actively represented on the board. Igora is a cooperative founded in 1989 with the aim of recycling aluminum. Its members are companies in the aluminum and beverage industry, as well as Migros and Coop as retail companies. It is financed by the advance recycling fee. Igora's biggest expenses are for the payment of the collected aluminum to municipalities and other voluntary Swiss collectors as well as for advertising, information and campaigns.
Igora has set up thousands of aluminum collection points throughout Switzerland and also provides can crushers at major events, for example. The Swiss are world champions when it comes to recycling aluminum beverage cans."

How about Migros at least selling a household can crusher. That would be the least they could do in terms of contributing to sustainability.

It's the same with PET! Bring whole bottles, deposit and they are crushed on site.
It's certainly tedious as you need space.
And deposits are pretty high! That's why there are so many cans, PET collectors, often pensioners, HarzlV, unemployed, low-income earners, etc.
The food banks are growing out of the ground like crazy.
It has also become a low-wage country.
