I love Migros chocolate (Frey). Unfortunately, for some time now there has been no more cherry chocolate and no more Quadretti with oranges. When I asked an employee (in 3422), I was told: "Yes, that's right, they've been taken out of the range. But now there is Camille Bloch cherry chocolate and Lindt Chocoletti." But I don't want any Bloch or Lindt! If I had to (which is unlikely), I could also buy them at Denner (which is owned by Migros). I think it's a shame that Migros is "doing away" with tried-and-tested Frey chocolates and adding third-party products to its range instead. Surely it would be possible to have both. For example, you could fill only one compartment per product on the shelf instead of two or even three of the same variety. What a pity.

Although both varieties were very popular, they have unfortunately not been able to establish themselves over the years. We simply sold too few of them. While sales volumes remained low, demand for branded products increased at the same time. We noticed that customers were doing their shopping at Migros, but were switching to kiosks or other retailers for certain brands. The introduction of the external brands Lindt and Bloch also led to internal discussions. We carefully examined whether it made sense to expand our range accordingly and ultimately decided to take this step. This was not least because we had suffered a significant drop in profits in recent years. The question of competitiveness played a key role in ensuring that we remain well positioned in the future. However, the expansion of the Migros range to include branded articles should continue to be an exception. This is because we want to maintain our price-performance advantage with our more than 250 own brands. We still produce around 75 percent of our goods ourselves. Accordingly, we are constantly investing in our industrial plants in order to be able to work with the latest technology. Six years ago, I still did my weekly shopping at Migros and only bought a few items elsewhere. In the last 12 months, I've been to Migros a total of three times. In recent years, it has actively ensured that there is little reason to shop there any more - so I go elsewhere.
