In theory, I agree with you.
In practice, I still read on the curry cippolatas: origin of meat Brazil, Poland, EU and Switzerland. That doesn't suit me at all and so I no longer buy them.

After all, such a declaration is enough for me to be able to decide whether I want to buy this product or not. I haven't bought any products from Israel or the Israeli-occupied territories of Palestine before and I won't do so in future either. Just like I don't buy beans from Egypt.
I also think it's important that the products are clearly and immediately visible and clearly labeled so that customers don't have to search for and decipher the information.
In general, I think education is the right development. And the first step is transparency and information.

I buy the frozen beans, they are from Switzerland

For me personally, the most important thing is where in the world the products come from. I often decide against products from Turkey and so on, mainly for environmental reasons (avoiding long flights) (e.g. leeks, why should I buy leeks from Turkey?).
Even if Migros always has better standards: There are still many black sheep among suppliers and producers in terms of environmental protection, poison, child labor, forced labor. I would really appreciate it if Migros would tackle THERE first. Where children have to toil for my T-shirt. Where people have to sew and produce under poor lighting conditions for a pittance....
The Israel story is a purely political one and Migros should NOT get involved. As long as Migros can still write "EU" on meat packaging (and the EU has unfortunately no longer been made up of trustworthy food-producing countries like the Netherlands for some years now), I see the Israel campaign as anti-Semitism that has unfortunately long since become socially acceptable again. Or do we now also care whether the lettuce from the Bernese Seeland comes from a farm where the tenant and owner are on the same page in terms of rent and ownership? Hardly.

The most important thing for me is that the products have the shortest possible journey behind them.
