Migros App - Scanner function (top right)

Migros App - Scanner Funktion (rechts oben)

I would like to make a few comments on this function, which is excellent in itself:

Whistling sound - product not recognized :I often scan the branded products (items where the orange M is not visible) and then see if I can get them in Migros... Then I don't even have to look for them, great thing.

Whistle - nothing happens : In the meantime I know that I have already scanned this article once... probably 30 pictures further down, so it's a tedious search ! It would be great if the already scanned article would be moved to the 1st position ! .... or you could also clear out the many scanned items - but this is not possible according to email customer service.

Whistle - item appears in 1st position: Successfully found and I have nothing against this chronological order in this scanning overview, it is sorted correctly after transfer to the shopping list.

The positive thing for me is that I make fewer wrong purchases with products that are difficult to distinguish (e.g. body care and cosmetics) or if I can't find the article in the variety, the staff can always help me successfully and above all quickly with the picture.... Thank you !

The negative thing for me is that the sources for the shopping list are so dispersed:
-- Scanned items : home - top right. You should be able to delete these 100%, you can transfer them to your favorites....
-- Already purchased items: Profile - Purchased products or favorites

Addendum to
The negative thing for me is that the sources for the shopping list are so dispersed:
-- Promotions Novelties Popular products
-- Keyword search Home top, left of scanner : Keywords that lead nowhere (e.g. Gazosa, only available in Migros Ticino) should be deleted - as well as typos

What I don't understand is why the scan function is part of the "Migros" menu item. Why not in the lists, I need it there if I want to enter something on the shopping list.

And... about 50% of Migros products are not recognized. I have not been able to recognize any "systhematic", it recognizes one type of yoghurt but not others.

Thanks and greetings

Right... The scan function would be best used for lists, i.e. the current shopping list. On the one hand, the deletion issue would be resolved and on the other hand, the process is not about generating a separate product range (for Migros statistics?)....
The scan function is simply an alternative to taking the "old packaging" with you, which is sometimes not yet completely empty ;-).... In our case, it's particularly the daughter's body care products or similar...
With branded products, you can also find out whether they are available at Migros.... if listed there.

@wef17: Thank you for your detailed feedback on the scanner function. We would like to clarify with the developers whether it is normal that an article that has already been scanned does not appear in the first position. Can you please answer the following questions?

- What is the e-mail address of the Migros login account used?

- Do you have a sufficient internet connection? (Websites load quickly in the browser)

- Which app version are you using?

- Please describe in detail what you are doing until the error occurs.

- If possible, please send photos of the error.

- Who is the manufacturer and what is the model of your smartphone?

- Which operating system version (e.g. iOS 9.3 / Android 6.0) is installed on your phone?

It is currently not possible to delete incorrect or no longer desired entries in the search. However, we have placed this with those responsible for future optimization.

@swaldorff + wer17: thanks for the valuable input on the shopping list. We are currently in the process of completely revising it. Your suggestions are just what we need. These are now also with the developers and they are examining a possible implementation. However, this is a major project and will therefore take some time.

4 years later and the Scaner function is still at the old level, unfortunately not usable.

It's a shame that some things are still so complicated -- you should be able to delete scanned items yourself: Especially with drugstore items that I buy for third parties, I generally scan so that I can show them to the sales assistant when searching - too many old items are annoying -- with a second scan there is an illogical error message instead of items being displayed at the top -- The scanning function should be where it says stores and vice versa... Scan is needed daily - stores at most once if you were on the move
