Migros APP shopping list on the self-scanning device.

Migros APP Einkaufsliste auf dem selfscanning Gerät.

The display of the Selfscaninng device is large, the Cumulus data is recorded anyway to remove the device. It would make sense to display the shopping list that you have created in the app on it.

Hello,

I don't have a cell phone and don't feel personally affected, but I'm afraid that with two lists on the display, the error rate when scanning would increase. Assuming that conscientious customers compare the contents of the shopping trolley/basket with the list again before returning the scanner, there is a not inconsiderable risk of comparing with the wrong list.

Good morning @Kriga88

The request or idea is not new and should have been submitted to those responsible. Thread by @marcoti:Shopping list in the Migros app, "But then the Migros app would be..."

See it similarly to @Cinderella1925, that with several lists a confusion would be pre-programmed.
I'm happy as it is, as I shop with the Apple Watch ⌚️

Best regards

Frederica

Hello @Kriga88

Thank you for your suggestion.

Our developers are currently working on a redesign of the shopping list. A revised version will be released in a few months.

We have taken your input on board - but we can't promise you that it will be implemented at the moment.

Kind regards

@Kriga88 I can see the problem if you have the shopping list on your cell phone and have to constantly switch between your cell phone and handheld scanner - @Fredericahashis cell phone "firmly on his arm" ;-) .

I also have the shopping list on my cell phone (not the Migros app - because it is far too cumbersome) and of course use general terms such as "cake". When shopping, I then have a very specific one in my sights and if it's not available, I take another ....or make a spontaneous decision.

However, general terms are never possible for an automatic comparison between the "M app shopping list" and the "Subito hand scanner", just to take the term "cake" used by@marcoti ... it includes everything from a frying pan to barbecue tongs, a toy stove to a real cake at the very end.

This would still leave the option of manually wiping away your own terms, as I can do on my cell phone, because somehow they have to disappear again after scanning - if only for the sake of the overview... i.e. at the end of the purchase, only the items that have actually been purchased and scanned are visible - the wiped away items perhaps at the bottom and crossed out so that they can be retrieved again - as with my app.
Another requirement would be the color separation between the shopping list and the scanned purchase - the orange action color would be too much in my opinion... As would the savings potential displayed.

Then, as you know, you can save several shopping lists in the Migros app - logically, only purchase 1 could be adopted here - it doesn't really matter what it's called, the problem is only for those who have several lists or only realize when shopping that the wrong list has been selected.

So, just a thing for a few technology-savvy types?

@M-Infoline I hope that if the developers are already redesigning the shopping list, they will surely have to think about it first: Do we just want a simple shopping list with very general terms that can also be added to personally (I have something like this in my private app).... OR do all Migros items need to be in there in detail... with all the weekly changes.

But I personally don't like this mix of both (current state).... see the example above with the search term "cake".
Good luck to the developers with their work - assigning the correct terms!

Dear Migipedia community,

What did you do when there were no app shopping lists? Sometimes it's better to use pen and paper. Sometimes you still have something in your head that's in action, and if you spontaneously see something you want, or something comes to mind at home that you actually need, you just write it down by hand.

With scanning, you're 3 minutes longer in Migros than "cashier" anyway.

If you forget the code that you have to scan at the sign (because it's open), then you're really annoyed. But writing a shopping list is also quicker than taking your cell phone out of your pocket, unlocking it, searching for the Migros app or other shopping app and then entering it in the list.

We need a head, a pen and a notepad for shopping. Anyone who uses a shopping app has too much time on their hands.

would also welcome the idea! all the data is in the migros app anyway
