Until a year ago, Migros Ostschweiz automatically offered a 2-fold .... with every purchase on Thursdays. It was quietly abolished at the time. I only noticed that there were fewer Cumulus vouchers when I received my next Cumulus statement.

As a replacement, 40x and 20x were introduced on individual items, which you sometimes get, as well as the stamp card... I also got myself a Cumulus credit card, which also earns one Cumulus point for every CHF 1 spent in Migros - so now I'm back to where I was before, or even better... ;-) ... the annual vacation bonus

This combination " CHF 1 in Migros* = 1 Cumulus point .... CHF 3.- outside Migros** = 1 Cumulus point" gave me the impression that CHF 1.-- in Migros = 1 additional point via credit card, because the same sentence says "CHF 3.- outside Migros** = 1 Cumulus point".

The fact is, of course, that only the second part applies to the credit card - the first part is not due to the use of the Cumulus credit card (sales participation), but simply due to the use of the Cumulus barcode printed on the credit card (but also available as a Cumulus card or Cumulus sticker in the wallet).

It would of course be more honest to leave out "CHF 1 in Migros* = 1 Cumulus point" when advertising the Cumulus credit card and just write . "For purchases outside Migros, you receive "CHF 3.- outside Migros** = 1 Cumulus point".

But Coop plays the exact "same game" .... ;-) It's like a request in the sense of: Buy in Migros and pay with SupercardPlus credit card - Buy in Coop and pay with Cumulus credit card. But no normal household has that much money to make full purchases in both places... :-)

In its anniversary year, the Migros Aare Cooperative will be offering numerous special offers and promotions from which everyone can benefit throughout the year: Customers, Cumulus members, cooperative members and employees. Migros Aare is using the anniversary year to adapt existing discounts and promotions to changing customer needs. I find it strange that the double Cumulus points were abolished on Thursday. Now this is under the motto "We celebrate 20 years" from the 20th of the month the 4-fold points. We have been doing our shopping on Thursdays for years. Now, thanks to Migros, we can change our planning and do our shopping from the 20th of the month. Efficiency is a top priority at Migros. This will also eliminate some "blue coupons" and Migros will be able to save costs. Thank you, dear Migros, for surprising us on your birthday with what is, for me, a strange gift. We will continue to go shopping at Migros. But we should consider whether Migros and Coop should merge and offer one card. "MIGCOO... " or whatever the new store might be called. People are reluctant to give up cherished habits. In fact, the Migros Cooperative Eastern Switzerland has decided to discontinue the 2x Cumulus Thursday. We are aware that this decision will not be met with understanding by all customers. This day was introduced 12 years ago in order to better distribute the high customer frequency on Fridays and Saturdays - today we have noticed that our sales outlets are well frequented on all sales days. However, to mark our 20th anniversary, the cooperative has decided to introduce this 4x coupon so that customers can still benefit. Best regards Elias Imhof
