for once i had to buy sandwiches at migrolino on monday because i didn't have time to buy them at my standard store and we had to go to the meeting - a mistake!
bought:
- kebap wraps
- tuna sandwich
- chicken schnitzel sandwich
kebap wraps:
if you halve the amount of meat, they are vegetarian, but filled with onions. my colleague took the other half.
tuna sandwich:
the bun feels like puffed up dough, the filling must have been vegetarian (i didn't find the tuna, compare it to the coop sandwich)
chicken schnitzel:
my colleague ate it, by force, he said he didn't want to have to eat something like that again
conclusion: a lot of money (fortunately expenses) for [self-censorship], i will NEVER buy these sandwiches again and prefer to go hungry... or is there anyone here who thinks they are good?

Yuck, those ready-made sandwiches from the store. They are just as inedible as the ready-made salads or betel with mixed salad. The stuff is always stale, wilted and bland. The sandwiches range from tasteless or soggy to slimy, smelly, but that's not surprising. After the first of these products has been made, it remains in a box on a pallet in the shipping company for hours, along with many others, until all the other sandwiches have been filled and packaged. It is then transported by truck to the wholesaler where the products are sorted and picked for the individual branches before being put back on a truck.
These sandwiches and salads have to be delivered in the morning together with all the other stuff so that they can be put on the shelves and sold. If you were to buy a sandwich like this first thing in the morning, it would still be at least 20 hours old. With mixed products like these, the protective atmosphere under which they are packaged doesn't help much. The butter (if it is butter at all) on the roll becomes rancid, the ham slices become dry to rubbery, the tomato and cucumber slices inside go into fermentation unhindered, which is not possible without chemical preservatives. Anyone can try it out for themselves at home to see how a thinly topped bread roll still tastes after 20 to 30 hours with only a little refrigeration.
Whether Migrolino, Migros, Coop or Aldi is largely irrelevant for the products, because the problems with dwindling freshness and the onset of rotting lie in the delivery process, which cannot be shortened given the variable quantities required. There are individual stores that make their own sandwiches or buy them from the local "do-it-yourself" supplier, but it is difficult to find out exactly which ones. I'd rather not try my hand at this.

The best thing to do is to complain to the store immediately and return the goods. At Migrolinos, the store manager is often behind the counter or nearby and will solve the problem. Otherwise he would give in at the latest if he had to eat the sandwiches himself. :-)

hi tanja i did it - just thinking about the "quality" on offer makes me grunt... @deactivated user yes, not even a sow... let's leave that... well i know where i can get decent ones - at dorfbeck! when it comes to sandwiches like that, "marche" is also a would-be address that plays at being classy and high quality - cough... i praise burgerking and mc do - not that it's top, but at least they don't pretend to be fresh and the like... 4 billion chf foreign eater, was recently in the blick - yes, I get it!

Precious and high quality? Do you mean caviar, truffles or goldbutt? I don't need that.
I always make my own sandwiches in the morning, the Tupperbox goes in the fridge at work and at lunchtime I have something to look forward to. Plus a bottle of homemade cold tea. :-)
Oh shock, Mc-Kotz and Würgerking, that's really not necessary, I'd rather go to the well-known Turkish kebab stand from time to time. It's also fast food but with fresh ingredients, tasty and enough. Of course there are also black sheep among the kebab stands, you just have to try them out.
