Last week I saw another offer at a petrol station for extra Cumulus points. And again, the points are awarded per liter filled up and not per franc spent. As far as I know, fuel is the only Migros product for which points are awarded according to quantity rather than price. This is incomprehensible to me. Why is that?

I add to this request with my own request to Migrol: the lack of rounding to the nearest 5 centimes when buying gasoline when paying by card - I hate centime amounts in the account - because only Migrol is not able to round - all other gasoline brands round.
- when buying petrol normally it's no problem - I stop at the right place, even if it takes 2-3 attempts.
- but if there is a 5 centimes discount per liter, I am forced to hit the 5 liter mark exactly, unless the price per liter happens to be x.x0 or x.x5 CHF - then I can do it with one liter.
I've already asked at the till: please round up to the nearest franc .... only works for cash payments, was the reply.

If the price per liter ends with an even number (x.x2, x.x4, x.x6, x.x8) after deducting the 5 Rp/liter for the centimes, it is sufficient to aim for a 2.5 liter mark. With x.x0 it is even sufficient to aim for half a liter.
Have you already tried to apply directly to your bank (where the credit card comes from) to have your account converted to rounding up?

Now I've never noticed this before - because I've never checked it. But then it would only be logical if instead of the discount of 5Rp per liter, 5 Cumulus per liter would be credited when I redeem my Migrol receipt from the Cumulus statement! Then I would have my problem with the odd amounts when filling up - I simply stop at 5 or 10 centimes and after 2-3 attempts this always works ;-)
(with the Migrol Private Card: 2 liters = 2 points)
@Cinderella1925: Thanks for the tip in the 2nd sentence - I'll look into it so that they round off every purchase for me. Migrol is the only company in Switzerland that doesn't round. It's a bit of a nuisance when checking the accounts.
I have just ordered the senior card, as I celebrated my 60th birthday in April. However, it is a mystery to me why they ask for my telephone number in a mandatory field.
Does Migros have a senior card for over 60s? I've never heard of it.
Have you read the conditions of participation/data protection regulations carefully? I'm sure it says what your telephone number is used for.

The senior citizens' card is an offer from the Migros Aare Cooperative and can only be purchased there or used in its branches.
