Gift is not the right word, eyewash is a better word when you are threatened by the moderator for honest negative reviews, but nothing is done about dishonest positive ones.
If you look at the topics that have been stifled by certain trolls recently, you might get the idea that these are multiple moderator profiles. Whenever the excuses run out, the troll comes and then the persistent participants are banned. Accommodating is also the wrong word if you are always given the same excuses. It's always the competition's fault, the exchange rate or the shopping tourists. Migros is always the poor one that is doing badly, even though it generates the highest sales per square meter in the world.
