Given the major ecological problem posed by plastic, it would be nice to find more products that are unpackaged or have easily recyclable packaging (such as cardboard). I am thinking, for example, of fruits and vegetables, which often have unnecessary packaging in my opinion.

Hello everyone. Here in Basel there is a little store that sells products without packaging, it's called Abfüllerei

And it recently won the Mammut award as well! I had already seen the same principle in Lausanne. Do you think the same thing can be implemented on a larger scale? Have a good day
Even here in Ticino there are some small stores that sell the products in bulk, but 1) if one does not have one close to home, it is not always worth the move 2) the prices are definitely less "friendly" than those in a supermarket. If supermarkets would try to offer products with less packaging it would surely be the best solution to curb the various environmental problems caused by plastic and excessive waste production...let's hope something will move in this direction soon!

Hi chirilla, Migros has carried out a pilot project in Geneva regarding packaging and ecological balance (foodwaste, etc.). They are currently testing the results, and if they are convincing, they will surely carry it out in other cities as well. Regards, Sandra
Just this morning I went to a 'bulk' store where I bought herbal teas, cereals, spreads. I brought glass jars and bags from home. It would be great to be able to buy at the Migros counter without having to use up packaging as well, just calibrate the containers brought from home. Unfortunately for now when I ask to pack ham and bresaola in the same bag at the Migros counter I get dirty looks!
